Simple Destruction Warlock Macros That’ll Skyrocket Your DPS!

Destro Warlocks are a great amount of fun to play, but they feel much more smooth with some simple to use Macros. This time, we’ll be going over some beginner-friendly macros that are 100% safe to use, easy to set up, and can help you boost your damage output!

Before we get all macro-y…

There are a few things I’d like to mention before we begin talking about all the macros. First of all, I highly recommend some sort of frame bar manger, like Healbot for example, that you can use to hover over friendly nameplates and cast your spells.

Also, the macros you’ll be seeing here are not all the ones you could possibly have. I’ve decided to only talk about the ones made for spells that are actually good right now, so if anything happens to change in the future and we get some cool new spells, I’ll make an update!

Destruction Warlock Macros

When it comes to Macros, the first one you wanna have as a Destruction Warlock is a Havoc macro. I gotta say though, this will only work well for you if you’re used to mousing over your secondary targets. I’ve found this particular way to be easier, so I highly recommend it, if you’re into it as well. This Macro will cast Havoc either on your single target if no other enemies are available, or on another enemy you’re mousing over at that moment. That way, you don’t need to switch between your main target to pull this off.

Then, we’ve got the Rain of Fire macro, which allows you to cast Rain of Fire wherever you’re pointing your mouse cursor. This helps you save time, as you don’t need to point and click in order to place your green circle on the floor, which is a big relief.

The next one I’ve found to be very useful in Raids and Mythic+, and it’s the Soulstone macro. It casts Soulstone on whoever you’re mousing over, and it lets your group know who’s got the Soulstone. This is super useful, especially if you’ve got multiple Warlocks in the group, because you’re making sure all of you aren’t wasting your cooldowns on buffing the same person.

If you use Demonic Circle (and you really should if you’re doing any sort of PvP, Mythic+ or raiding), this macro allows you to stop casting your other spells in order to cast the Demonic Circle. Sometimes, these decisions have to be made quickly, and it’s better to not get frustrated over your casts and channels, and just do what you need to do.

Another cool macro is the Infernal one, which is another cursor macro. Your Infernal will spawn wherever you’re pointing your mouse as long as the area is in range, so it’s just a quicker way to call your green friend.

Then there’s the Cataclysm macro if you’re talented into it, also allowing you to point your cursor and cast Cataclysm. (I’m finding these cursor macros to be super good for Destro lock, as they really save time and effort by not requiring you to position circles on the floor yourself all the time, so do use them if you wanna spend more time actually doing damage!)

Another one is Shadowfury, helping you stun a group of enemies your cursor is pointing towards, without having to place the green thing on the floor. Just be careful where you’re pointing and try to aim for the middle of the pack if you’re targeting multiple enemies, so that none of them are actually standing out of the circle. This bad boy also stops the cast of any other spell in order to cast Shadowfury. Pretty sweet!

Finally, we’ve got the Soulwell macro, which announces your group that there are Healthstones to be picked up, right before placing the Soulwell. You can edit the text yourself if you don’t like mine, and you can use /say, or /party, or /raid command instead of the /yell one that’s originally in the macro, if you don’t wanna be yelling at your group all the time or you place your Soulwells in the open world quite a lot and you don’t wanna be heard all across your covenant zone.

That’s pretty much it when it comes to Destro Macros.
