How to get Wicker Pup, a secret battle pet in Drustvar!

If you haven’t had a chance to obtain a unique battle pet that’s made of parts, is somewhat of a puppy, and has a wooden mask over its adorable face, now’s the time to do it. In this article, I’ll show you just how easy it is to get one!

When it comes to Wicker Pup, this is an Undead pet with mostly Undead attacks, combined with two Elemental abilities that you’ll get on higher levels – the Chaos Nova, a nice AoE with a 3-round cooldown, as well as Barskin, which is a defensive. What’s really cool is the Consume Corpse ability, making it a strong Undead candidate for a finisher in your pet battle team that’s very hard to kill. All in all, it fights almost as beautifully as it looks, so there’s no reason not to get it regardless of whether you’re a pet battler or a collector.

The Wicker Pup can be found in Drustvar, and in order to get it, you’ll need to find its four parts that are scattered throughout the zone. The parts are locked behind dark Drust magic, and the only way to loot them is to light the fires next to them. The order in which you’ll do it doesn’t seem to matter, as people have reported getting the loot from any order they chose to go by.

The first treasure is called the Bundle of Wicker Sticks, and I guess this is what you’ll use to recreate this little guy’s legs. You can find the Hexed Chest on the hill, in the northwestern part of Crimson Forest. Simply light the fire next to the treasure and loot it. If any of these chests feel bugged for you in any way and you can’t get the loot, make sure to check your bags or your bank, because you may have looted this a long time ago and forgot about it, and since you can’t loot it twice, that may be the reason why you’re stuck.

The next treasure is called the Miniature Stag Skull, and its purpose is pretty obvious. You’ll find the Ensorcelled Chest in the hills south of Fletcher’s Hollow. If you don’t have BfA flying, it’s best to start from the path leading to it!

The next one is the Wolf Pup Spine, which is a crucial part for your pet’s overall being! You’ll find this creepy, little body part in a cave near Corlain, where there’s an Enchanted Chest.

Finally, you’ll go over to Barrowknoll Cemetery to find the Bespelled Chest, in which there’s a Spooky Incantation for you to loot.

Once you have all of the four items, bring your pet to life by combining the four items – you just need to click on one of them in your bag. The items will merge and you’ll get yourself your own Wicker Pup.

If for some odd reason you don’t want this adorable creature in your collection, you can cage it upon learning it and sell it at the auction house. Currently, the average price for a level 1 on a lot of realms starts around 8k gold, and the level 25 one is around 15k minimum. It’s not a hard pet to get, but people just don’t know about it, which makes it a pricey little thing.
