If you’ve been looking for a reason to get back into Gold Saucer stuff and grind some MGP, the time is now, as the Make It Rain event is finally live, and it will last until June the 20th. In this post, you’ll find out how to start the event, what the rewards are, and what you can do during the event!
In order to start the event, you’ll need to go over to Ul’dah – Steps of Nald, and find Ollier. You’ll have to be at least level 15 disciple of War or Magic to proceed with the event, as that’s the requirement to get into the Gold Saucer in the first place, which you should do too. Apart from that, you’ll need to have completed one of the level 15 MSQ quests – The Gridanian, Ul’dahn or the Lominsan Envoy. Accept the quest “A Prickly Plaint” and help bring Gold Saucer to glory, which will result in you acquiring two terrific emotes – Show Left and Show Right.
Apart from the event rewards, you can also visit the Campaign Attendant in Gold Saucer and purchase the Moogle Balloon for your home or apartment, which is an adorable indoor item you’ll really want to have. That same vendor will sell you the previous years’ Make It Rain furniture, like the Cactuar Table and the Cactuar Stool, and plenty of glam items and Gold Saucer minigame machines can now be bought at reduced prices. Just make sure you’re buying it at the event vendor, as the regular one will sell you all that stuff at the regular prices!
The event is cool and all, but the best thing about Make It Rain is that your Gold Saucer activities now yield 50% more MGP, so it’s a good time for you to get all the mounts, minions, glam, orchestrion rolls, or whatever it is that you’re after.
That’s pretty much it when it comes to the Make It Rain this year. The event quests will be fast to complete, but there are plenty of ways to earn more MGP more efficiently.
