All Endwalker 6.1 mounts & how to unlock them!

As most of us playing Final Fantasy in 6.1 are either done with the MSQ or getting around to it, it’s time to think about the cool things to collect in-game, and mounts are definitely one of them. In this article, I’m going over all the new 6.1 mounts released with the patch and what you need to do to get them!

The first and probably the easiest one for you to get is the Pod 602, inspired by the YoRHa raids. This little thing looks so cool, you’d assume it’s hard to obtain it, but all you need to do is go to the Gold Saucer, find the Gold Saucer Attendant, enter the Prize Exchange III menu, and find the Pod 602 Identification Key. It’ll cost you 300,000 MGP, but it’s really not as bad considering just how awesome you’ll look hanging from it.

Another one is Alkonost, which you’ll purchase for 3 Resplendent Feathers from Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han. The Feathers are actually loot from the Final Chamber of Excitatron 6000, which is the Endwalker version of Treasure Maps. Do mind that the drop is rare, so if you want this beauty, you’ll have to be doing a ton of maps, and compete with your friends for the feathers (and possibly lose those friends as you’re gaining the feathers. But it’s up to you which ones you value more). If this sounds too exhausting, you can get the mount from the Market Board for about 15 million Gil, if you’re on the rich side.

The next not-so-impossible, but hard to get one, is the Troll, which you’ll obtain by getting Khloe’s Gold Certificate of Commendation from your Wondrous Tails, and exchanging it for the Troll Horn. Again, if you’ve got Gil to burn, you can also purchase it from the Market Board for 11 million or so, and not worry about your weekly dungeon grinds.

Another new mount is the Vinegaroon, which you can obtain by hunting Elite Hunt targets. I’ll take you some time to grind out 3200 Sacks of Nuts, but once you do, feel free to exchange those over to Wilmetta in Radz-at-Han, or J’lakshai in Old Sharlayan, both being the Guildship Hunt Vendors.

Finally, there’s Bluefeather Lynx, which you can get as a rare drop from Endsinger Extreme, the new 6.1 Trial. If you don’t luck out on it, you’ll just have to kill the bird 99 times and acquire enough tokens to purchase it from the vendor at some point when it becomes available!

And that’s it so far when it comes to the new 6.1 mounts. What’s the first one you’ll be going for? Let me know in the comments, and if you’re more of a visual person, and you don’t mind getting easy wins in-game, you can check out all of this in my video – and subscribe for more awesome FFXIV stuff!
