Expressing yourself with emotes in FFXIV is one of the most impactful ways of customizing your character, and every time there are new ones added, it’s a good opportunity to grab them. In this article, you’ll find out which emotes got added in Endwalker 6.1, and what you need to do in order to get them!
Draw & Sheathe
Getting the first two emotes is similar and straightforward. One is the “Draw Weapon”, and the other is “Sheathe Weapon”, allowing you to show off your battle gear even when you’ve chosen to have it hidden while standing around. The animations correspond entering and leaving the battle stance, with the addition of chat text and the ability to use it in gpose as an actual emote.

All you need to do to get both of them is go to the Gold Saucer, find the Gold Saucer Attendant, enter the Prize Exchange III menu, and purchase the Ballroom Etiquettes: Forearmed Is Well Armed, and Easily At Ease. Each one will cost you 100k MGPs, which sounds like a lot for emotes that may not be as unique as you’d expect for that amount of money, but they’re still nice to have if you’re a completionist and want to engage deeper into gpose and public chat endgames, as that’s truly what they are!
Determined
Last but not least, there’s the Determined emote, which you’ll obtain by leveling your Series Malmstones in PvP. In order to get the emote, you only have to get to level 5, which won’t take long at all, and considering how many cutscenes have you do this exact thing, I’m sure you’ll want to grab it for yourself!

When it comes to the new 6.1 emotes, that’s about it. What’s your favorite 6.1 emote? Let me know in the comments, and if you’re more of a visual person, and you don’t mind getting easy wins in-game, you can check out all of this in my video – and subscribe for more awesome FFXIV stuff!
