How to get every Endwalker 6.1 minion!

Getting minions in FFXIV is always fun to do when the new patch drops, and 6.1 definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to their number and variety. In this post, I’m going over all the newly released minions and what you need to do in order to get them!

The first and probably the easiest one to get for you is the Protonaught, which you’ll get in the Wolves’ Den Pier for 1000 of your Trophy Crystals, which you’ll earn through PvP.

If you’ve been doing the new 6.1 dungeon, you may have stumbled upon Teacup Kapikulu, which is the minion you get from Alzadaal’s Legacy dungeon. I honestly wouldn’t worry too much about it, as you’re bound to loot it at some point if you’re doing your Expert roulettes regularly.

Another instanced drop is the Wind-up Azeyma, which is a drop from the Aglaia, the new Alliance raid wing. In order to get this one, you’ll probably need a few weeks, as everyone and their mother will be rolling for it.

There are four new minions you can get from the Retainer Explorations XXVIII, specifically the Waterside, Woodland, Highland and Field Exploration missions. To do them, your retainer needs to be at least 530 ilvl, and they’ll be spending a lot of time on those 18-hour missions. The drop is freakishly rare, so if you have a way to grind out the gil, you can probably muster up about 4 million and get yourself a Blue-footed Booby, Chewy, Wind-up Kangaroo, or Clockwork Novus D. Expensive, but worth it, if your retainer game is mediocre.

When it comes to all the 6.1 minions, that’s it for now. Let me know if I left something out!
