If you’ve been out of FFXIV and wish to return to the game, now is about the best possible time for you to do so. The Free Login Campaign is back, meaning that eligible players can play FFXIV for free for a limited time. This campaign will last until Dec 16, 2022 at 2:59PM GMT, and in this guide, I’m going over everything you need to know about it.
Prerequisites
There are certain conditions you need to meet in order to participate in this campaign. First, you need to have previously purchased and registered FFXIV. Also, your accounts must be inactive during the campaign period, and finally, your account must have been inactive for at least 30 days. You can check all of these things out if you log in to your Mog Station account, in case you’re not sure when you last played the game.
How does the campaign work?
Like I previously mentioned, the campaign lasts until December 16th, and once it’s over, you will need to subscribe to FFXIV in order to play – even if you get a late start on the campaign. Once you log in to the game through the free campaign, you will receive four free days, and that includes the day on which you log in. The period ends on the fourth day at 11:59PM GMT, so it’s best to get it activated in the morning when you decide to do it. What now?
If you’ve done all this, you’ve pretty much gone over step 1, which is essentially making sure you’re good to go. The next thing to do is simply launching the game again and logging in, which will automatically start your free trial period. If you choose to stay in Eorzea for a longer time, all you need to do is resubscribe and you’re back to being hooked into it!
